             Nature is the fountain of inspirations. The majesty of landscape, the orchestra of wildlife and the experiences of life are all the great moments to be appreciated and cherished. I love to observe and capture the grace and poetry of movements.

            These moments: the tranquility, the awe, and dynamic vitality of natural beings, moments of solidarity, heartfelt interactions and influence between humans are the stimuli for immersive imagination. Life is a journey of experiences for us to cherish and share.

            Over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for ceramics only grow stronger in time. Clay is the essence of the earth and ceramics is the magical transformation. When creating art, the physical skill is not the most important aspect. Instead what truly matters is the narrative and intention of the artist behind the pieces.

            All of my pieces are produced with the purpose of projecting my sentiments of certain experiences at a time and to capture certain fleeting moments of life. Each piece has embedded with a soul and I wish these pieces can evoke precious, visceral emotions on the viewer and serve as an expressive conduit to break boundaries beyond language, race and social differences.

BIOGRAPHY:

Prior to Christy’s further study in Sheridan College, she was the Head of Creative heading up multi-cultural design and creative teams in Hong Kong and China. She graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Graphic Communications) and has a wealth of professional experience in Architectural Graphics, Advertising, Marketing, Brand Communication and Project Management with International Artists on Art Installation Projects.  Christy was a Chartered Designer by profession and member of AIGA, MCSD, SEGD and NOOSR. She has gone back to University to study Ceramics since 2016. She studied BA Arts & Crafts (Ceramics) Program at Sheridan College, Canada and has graduated with high honours and silver medal in May 2020.
